Brideshead Revisited came with a high expected rating. I had not read the book nor have I finished the series. Overall, I thought it was fine, though more amusing than dramatic. Jeremy Irons overshadows his co-stars, to the point where I did not take them particularly seriously. I would mainly recommend it to those who enjoy his performances or for fans of British period drama. All-in-all the first disc was fine, though not compelling.
